This die can be used to forge a "ball" in the center of round bar or 1-5/8" x ½" flat bar.
Note: If flat bar is rolled slightly, an interesting effect is produced.

This is typically used as a first stip in making balusters (ect.) before ends are drawn.

The VM means that these dies are made of Bora SV, giving extra rigidity and the best abrasion resistance.
