Thank you for your support over the last year during my deployment to Iraq. I appreciate all the e-mails and correspondence received from each and every one of you. If I didn’t respond, I apologize, as I did not have access to e-mail too often. Regardless, thank you again, and I am glad that I am home and back to the business here at Centaur Forge.
I can truly tell you that within my year deployment, I witnessed many actions from our troops that would make you proud of our young men and women serving in the military. It is remarkable to think that young “twenty-something” individuals are empowered in making key decisions that influence both Iraq and the “Global War on Terrorism” effort.
During my year I saw the conditions within Iraq improve drastically. From the elections to the improvement of the Iraqi Security Forces (both Army and Police), the country is improving. I was never prouder than when Iraqi citizens continually thanked us for their right to vote.
Finally, the infrastructure within the country has been upgraded and the necessities of running water and power are improving. School children now enjoy text books and cherish the crayons and colored pencils that they have received.
The country of Iraq is on the right track, in this one man’s opinion. Many are not sure if this is a just cause, and I will not attempt to sway support one way or the other. However, I can honestly say that I am proud to be an American and am glad that I experienced a life-changing experience for both me and my family.

September 2004: Centaur Forge opened a new branch in New Braunfels, Texas. The new branch is located at 1367 B Industrial Drive and will be run by Mike Chambers, CJF, formerly of Hill Country Horseshoeing School. Centaur Forge Texas is a full service farrier and blacksmith supply company, and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to Noon on Saturday.
