Thoro’Bred has been manufacturing aluminum and steel racing plates since 1949. All of Thoro’Bred’s racing plates and competition shoes are made from prime aluminum to military specifications, aircraft grade quality. No secondary material is used in any Thoro’Bred products. Thoro’Bred guarantees their finished products to meet those aircraft quality specifications. Thoro’Bred racing plates and shoes are hot forged and heat treated to meet every requirement in racing or competition. Thoro’Bred is continually developing and field testing new products with the help of a number of master farriers throughout the country.
