There are many examples of milestones and benchmarks that establish a measure for future reference. Occasionally an individual has an impact on culture that creates such a milestone. Samuel Yellin is such a person. His milestone, however, is forged in iron, for he is one of the greatest artist blacksmiths.
This monograph is assembled in recognition of Yellin's permanent place in the history of decorative metalwork and blacksmithing. It will show selections of his work and discuss the factors that made up this great body of work that has created a tradition. It is a legacy of the highest standard.
