Manufacturing Note – Full Transparency:
This swage block was designed in the USA by Derek Melton, but is cast in China using 6150 alloy steel. This approach keeps the block accessible to more smiths while maintaining high-grade material quality.
If you're looking for a 100% U.S.-made alternative, consider respected American brands such as Holland Anvil or Oaklawn Blacksmith.
Derek’s own shop combines American craftsmanship with global tools—including Chinese-made equipment—to forge blades and products by hand. This swage block follows that same mindset: quality and function first, no compromise.
