Material:
Hand forged from new 1045 mild carbon steel by Brandon L. Dearing.
Peen Design:
Thicker peen than most mass-produced hammers, reducing the risk of cold shuts during forging.
Finish:
Hammer face ground to a 120-grit finish, then buffed for a semi-polished, semi-satin look.
Eye Shape:
Drifted from both ends, creating an hourglass double taper for a tight fit on the handle.
Heat Treatment:
Each hammer head is heat treated and tempered for durability before being fitted to the handle.
Handle Material:
Carved from 2" thick hickory, shaped for comfort and ease of use over extended periods.
Ergonomic Design:
Handle contouring accommodates different hand sizes for a comfortable grip.
Wedge Construction:
Head secured with a mahogany wedge, providing stability and visual contrast between the hickory and steel.
Finish Treatment:
Multiple coats of linseed oil applied to both the hammer and handle for protection and aesthetics.
